Just a Tree

Just a tree

Just a tree,
Widespread in the oven sun,
Deeply rooted, long of limb,
Welcome shade for passers by.

Just a tree,
Green and fragrant living grace,
Tough as envy, strong as pride,
Giving moisture to the breeze.

Just a tree,
Happy change from concrete grey.
Just a tree, nothing more:
Just a daily miracle.
